Electrical Control Engineer
Days Role, Monday – Friday

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Control Engineer to join the engineering team at an FMCG manufacturing company in Blackburn, Lancashire.
This is a new role within the maintenance team to ensure the safety of electrical control systems and reliability of the plant.
As Electrical Control Engineer your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out effective fault finding and modification of industrial control systems in a process manufacturing environment
- Installation of new control systems and upgrade of existing systems to improve efficiencies
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical equipment including drives, PLC, HMI, Switchgear
- Routine software backups of PLC systems, drives and panel views
- Route Cause Analysis & Reliability
- Working closely with Maintenance Technicians to understand key issues and implement improvement initiatives
- Evaluate and recommend electrical/control system upgrades
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive improvement of department KPI’s
Requirements:
- Time Served Electrical Engineer / Control Engineer (HNC/HND/Degree)
- Strong technical knowledge of complex electrical systems, PLC’s, Drives, Control Systems, SCADA in an industrial environment
- Familiarity with PLC programming language and ability to modify programs
- Data driven and results focused
- Analytical approach with great attention to detail
- Leadership skills
