A market-leading consumer goods business is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead its end-to-end operational function across manufacturing, warehousing, fulfilment, planning and logistics. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-moving, multi-channel business supplying both B2B and direct-to-consumer markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence, improving service performance and leading large operational teams through continued growth and change.
The Role
- Leading high-volume fulfilment operations across both B2B and B2C channels.
- Managing warehousing, inventory control and logistics.
- Driving OTIF performance, stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Overseeing production planning and manufacturing operations.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives across multiple operational functions.
- Developing and mentoring operational leadership teams.
- Supporting major business improvement and automation projects.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic business objectives.
About You
- You will be an experienced operational leader with a proven track record within a fast-paced FMCG, retail, e-commerce or distribution environment.
- Significant experience leading high-volume fulfilment operations.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing, logistics and inventory management.
- Experience managing both B2B and B2C distribution.
- Exposure to manufacturing or production planning environments.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to motivate large operational teams.
- Experience delivering measurable operational improvements through Lean or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance operational excellence with business objectives.
- Resilience and adaptability within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
