We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer to manage and lead all engineering and maintenance activities at a busy Waste to Energy site in Gloucestershire.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day maintenance and engineering operations
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and safe systems of work
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems (including CHP engines, pumps and feedstock equipment)
- Manage the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme
- Minimise downtime through effective fault diagnosis
- Supervise technicians and contractors
- Act as technical lead for plant upgrades and improvements
- Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota
About You
- Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (ONC, C&G, HNC)
- Min 3 years’ hands-on engineering experience in an industrial environment
- Experience of mechanical and electrical systems
- Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, pumps, hydraulics, heating systems
- Confident leader with strong problem-solving skills
