Salary: To £50,000 basic + £5900 Call Out + Overtime

Hours: 42.5 hrs/week, Mon–Fri + 1-in-4 call-out rota

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer to manage and lead all engineering and maintenance activities at a busy Waste to Energy site in Gloucestershire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day maintenance and engineering operations
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and safe systems of work
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems (including CHP engines, pumps and feedstock equipment)
  • Manage the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme
  • Minimise downtime through effective fault diagnosis
  • Supervise technicians and contractors
  • Act as technical lead for plant upgrades and improvements
  • Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota

About You

  • Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (ONC, C&G, HNC)
  • Min 3 years’ hands-on engineering experience in an industrial environment
  • Experience of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, pumps, hydraulics, heating systems
  • Confident leader with strong problem-solving skills
