A well-established advanced manufacturing business in Cheshire is looking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead engineering reliability and maintenance strategy at a key production facility. This role offers the opportunity to transform and modernise the site maintenance function, with a particular focus on developing a robust planned preventative maintenance (PPM) strategy across critical furnace and high-temperature process equipment. The business is investing in improving maintenance planning and reliability, including exploring the implementation of a CMMS system, making this an excellent opportunity for an engineering leader who enjoys building systems and driving change.

Reporting to the senior operations leadership team, the Maintenance Manager will take responsibility for all maintenance activities across the facility, with a particular focus on critical furnace and high-temperature process equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the site maintenance technicians
  • Establish a robust PPM strategy for furnace and thermal process equipment
  • Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
  • Support the introduction of a CMMS maintenance system
  • Work closely with operations to improve asset performance and efficiency
