The Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead all production activities within a BRC-compliant food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for delivering operational excellence, ensuring the highest standards of product quality and food safety, and driving continuous improvement across the site. You will play a key leadership role, managing production teams across two shifts while developing people, improving processes, and ensuring customer and compliance requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and coordinate production activities across two shifts to meet production plans, KPIs, and customer requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with BRC standards, food safety, hygiene, and site procedures.
- Monitor and control operational efficiency, reducing downtime, waste, and costs while maximising productivity.
- Ensure all products are manufactured to specification and customer expectations.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain rigorous adherence to food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Lead, motivate, and coach shift managers to achieve high performance and engagement.
- Conduct performance reviews, identifying training and development needs.
- Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive working environment where employees are encouraged to contribute ideas.
- Manage attendance, discipline, and employee relations in line with policy.

Experience & Qualifications
- Previous management experience within food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of BRC standards and food safety principles (desirable).
- Formal food safety or HACCP qualifications (desirable).
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health & safety training (desirable).
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00, Friday: 08:00 – 13:00
