Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to drive sales across a national territory. The Role

  • Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while managing and developing key customer accounts across the UK.
  • The role combines strategic business development with account management, working closely with manufacturers, OEMs, engineers, procurement teams and technical decision-makers to deliver tailored electrical and semiconductor component solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and secure new business opportunities across a broad range of sectors.
  • Manage and develop existing customer relationships to maximise revenue growth.
  • Identify new projects, applications and market opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with engineers, buyers, procurement teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals and quotations.
  • Work closely with internal technical and customer service teams to deliver exceptional customer support.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and achieve agreed revenue targets.
  • Monitor market trends, customer activity and competitor developments.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience in a Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Account Manager or Area Sales Manager role.
  • Background within an electrical components, electronic components or semiconductor environment.
  • Experience working for a manufacturer or distributor of electrical/electronic components.
  • Strong new business development experience.
  • Successful account management and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially driven with a proven track record of delivering sales growth.
  • Ability to manage a national territory and work autonomously from home.

Desirable

  • Experience selling into OEMs, industrial manufacturing, automation, aerospace, defence, energy or related sectors.
  • Technical or engineering qualification.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor technologies and applications.
