This is not a routine engineering role. As a Materials Engineer, you’ll be involved in the development, testing, qualification, and improvement of advanced materials and manufacturing processes that directly influence innovative, high‑performance products.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading material testing and qualification activities.
  • Supporting the development of new materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Advising on material selection and performance.
  • Working closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.
  • Managing multiple technical projects and priorities.
  • Driving continuous improvement across engineering processes.
  • Supporting compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Obsolescence management.
What We’re Looking For
  • You must have full right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship or visa support.
  • Experience within materials and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of bonding processes.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Degree qualified in Materials, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or similar or exceptional experience as a Materials Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Bonus Experience (Not Essential)
  • Aerospace, automotive, defence, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Textiles, composites, or polymer materials.
  • REACH regulations or obsolescence management.
