We are partnering with a well-established, growing manufacturing business in the print and packaging sector to recruit a high-impact Engineering Manager. This is a rare 'blank canvas' role where you will have the autonomy to shape the engineering function, implement best practices, and make a lasting impact on site performance. The Role
- You will lead all engineering activities on site, driving reliability, performance and continuous improvement.
- Key focus areas include:
- Implementing a robust preventative maintenance strategy
- Introducing and optimising a CMMS system
- Driving downtime reduction through data, metrics and RCA
- Improving stores management, cost control and workshop standards
- Leading and developing the maintenance engineering team
- Maintaining accurate communication records and ensuring issues are logged and understood
- Overseeing facilities, utilities and site services
- Responsible for ensuring that staff work safely at all times
About You
- Engineering qualification; HNC/HND/Degree
- Proven experience of managing a maintenance team in a continuous process, manufacturing environment
- Experience implementing maintenance systems and driving performance improvements
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant HSE standards and legislation
- Data-driven, hands-on and passionate about continuous improvement
- A natural leader who can engage, develop and inspire teams
