What You'll Be Doing
- Produce quotations for complex precision-machined components.
- Review engineering drawings and determine the most efficient manufacturing route.
- Estimate machining cycle times, tooling and production costs.
- Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams.
- Support new product introduction from RFQ through to production.
- Help secure profitable new business for a world-class precision engineering manufacturer.
What We're Looking For
The most important thing is your CNC machining knowledge. You'll ideally have experience as a:
- CNC Miller
- CNC Turner
- CNC Programmer
- CNC Setter/Operator
- Manufacturing Engineer
- Production Engineer
- Estimating Engineer
You should also have:
- A strong understanding of CNC machining processes.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, machining strategies and cycle times.
- Experience machining a range of materials.
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Estimating experience is welcome but not essential if you have the right machining background and are keen to develop into the role.
