A leading defence organisation is seeking an experienced Programmes & Contracts Manager to manage a portfolio of high-value service contracts supporting major UK defence programmes. Direct experience operating within the SSRO (Single Source Regulatory Office) framework is essential. Applications without SSRO experience cannot be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multi-million-pound service contracts with full P&L accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with SSRO regulations, including pricing, reporting and allowable costs.
  • Lead contract delivery across MRO, engineering support and upgrade programmes.
  • Drive financial performance, forecasting, risk management and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the primary customer interface, building strong relationships with MoD stakeholders and key partners.
  • Support contract renewals, bids and business growth activities.

Essential Experience

  • Proven SSRO experience within a defence environment.
  • Track record managing high-value MoD contracts.
  • Strong commercial, financial and contract management expertise.
  • Experience in programme management, MRO or in-service support.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
