Are you an Engineer with a strong background in passive electronic components looking to take your career in a new direction? This is a rare opportunity to transition from a purely technical role into a consultative, customer-facing Technical Sales position, where your expertise will directly influence cutting-edge engineering projects across aerospace, defence, rail and other high-reliability sectors.
Why make the move into Technical Sales? If you enjoy solving engineering challenges, working closely with customers, and seeing your input shape real-world applications, this role offers the perfect blend of technical depth and commercial impact - without losing your engineering roots.
The Opportunity
You will join a well-established, privately owned UK business with decades of expertise in high-reliability electronic components. Known for its technical credibility and personalised service, the company partners with leading OEMs on long-term, mission-critical programmes.
In this role, you will:

- Support customers through application, specification and qualification stages
- Build long-term relationships across engineering, procurement and programme teams
- Manage and grow an established customer base while identifying new opportunities

This is a highly consultative role where your technical knowledge is the product.
What's in it for you?
- Clear transition into Technical Sales with full support and training
- High level of autonomy - manage your own territory and customer strategy
- Exposure to advanced, high-reliability technologies used in critical applications
- Work with blue-chip customers and long-term programmes
- Strong technical support network - allowing you to focus on customer engagement
- A supportive, non-corporate culture where your voice is heard
Package includes:
- Competitive salary + performance-related bonus
- Hybrid company car
- Non-contributory pension
- Private healthcare (after qualifying period)
- Ongoing training and development
- Flexible, remote working

- Field Applications Engineer
With experience or knowledge of:
- Passive components (resistors, capacitors, inductors, transformers, RF components)
