The Opportunity
Working closely with the HR Manager, you will play a key role in delivering end-to-end operational HR support across the business. This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety - perfect for someone who enjoys balancing HR advisory work with detailed administration and supporting payroll. You'll be trusted to provide solid, practical HR advice to managers, support employee relations cases, and ensure HR and payroll processes run accurately, efficiently and compliantly.
Key Tasks
- Providing day-to-day generalist HR advice on absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters
- Supporting the full recruitment lifecycle, from job adverts to onboarding
- Playing a vital role in payroll administration, including audits, data checks and queries
- Maintaining accurate HR and employee records with exceptional attention to detail
- Producing HR and payroll reports, analysis and management information
- Supporting process improvements and contributing to upcoming system changes
- Acting as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees alike
This role would suit a HR Advisor or HR Generalist who:
- Enjoys being operationally hands-on and highly organised
- Is confident managing a high volume of administrative tasks
- Has strong working knowledge of employment law and HR processes
- Takes pride in accuracy, confidentiality and meeting tight deadlines
- Is approachable, professional and comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels
CIPD qualification is desirable, but attitude, experience and attention to detail matter just as much.
