Our client, a leading global financial institution, is looking for an experienced Murex Business Analyst/Configurator to join their Risk/XVA team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects within the Markets and Treasury domain, including regulatory initiatives such as the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB).

6 months initial contract (rolling) Β£700-800 per day (Inside IR35) Umbrella Company Rate – Hybrid working 3 days a week in the office. For this contract role we are not looking for broad experience with Murex but limited hands-on development experience with Murex risk modules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and maintain Murex for risk and XVA functionalities.
  • Implement and support changes for Markets and Treasury requirements.
  • Ensure system performance and stability.
  • Participate in production support rotations (second and third line).
  • Support regulatory compliance initiatives, including FRTB.
  • Gather and document business requirements; translate into functional specifications.
  • Conduct gap analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Develop and execute test plans (system, integration, UAT).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and provide training/support.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
Skills & Experience:
  • Murex Expertise: Strong knowledge of Murex architecture and modules; experience configuring risk and XVA functionalities; proficiency in MxML workflows and scripting.
  • Risk Management: Hands-on experience with Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk; ability to configure VaR, PFE, and stress testing.
  • XVA Implementation: Expertise in CVA, DVA, FVA, MVA configuration and integration with front-office systems.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FRTB and capital calculation frameworks.
  • Performance Optimization & Integration: Experience with Datamart and automation tools.
