A leading Emerging Markets & Macro-focused hedge fund is seeking a highly strategic and motivated Investor Relations & Business Development Manager to help drive institutional fundraising, deepen investor engagement, and enhance the firm’s global market presence. This is a high-impact, front-facing position for a polished IR/BD professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investor Relations & Client Engagement
    • Act as the primary point of contact for institutional investors—pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, and fund-of-funds—delivering timely updates on performance, risk, portfolio themes and macro outlooks.
    • Manage and respond to RFIs, DDQs, and due diligence enquiries with precision and professionalism.
    • Maintain the firm’s CRM, ensuring accurate tracking of pipelines, interactions, and investor outreach.
    • Coordinate investor communications including quarterly letters, performance reports, presentations, and bespoke updates.
  • Business Development & Fundraising
    • Lead institutional capital-raising initiatives across global allocator segments.
    • Develop and execute strategic fundraising plans for the firm’s macro and EM product suite.
    • Produce high-quality marketing materials including pitch books, factsheets, investment outlooks, and performance narratives.
    • Represent the firm at conferences, investor meetings, and roadshows.
    • Capture and relay investor feedback to support product positioning and strategic development.
  • Collaboration & Internal Coordination
    • Work closely with investment, risk, operations, and compliance teams to compile accurate and timely information for investors.
    • Ensure consistent messaging across all external communications and materials.
    • Support the planning and delivery of investor meetings, presentations, and strategic initiatives.

Candidate Profile

  • Commercial years’ experience in investor relations, fundraising, or business development within alternatives, hedge funds, private markets, or broader asset management.
  • Strong knowledge of macroeconomic themes, global markets, and Emerging Markets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated experience working with global institutional investors.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a high-performance setting.
  • Proficient with CRM systems, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with investor reporting platforms is advantageous.

Desirable Attributes

  • Proven track record in capital raising or supporting successful fundraising efforts.
  • Strong allocator network across Asia, Europe, and North America.
  • Ability to interpret market trends and create compelling investor content aligned with the firm’s macro narrative.
