Role Purpose

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing and winning new business opportunities across the UK's Corporate landscape, with a particular focus on Industrial organisations. Working closely with marketing, bid, operations and account management teams, the Business Development Manager will develop strategic relationships with decision-makers, understand customer challenges around water, wastewater and sustainability, and position their business as the partner of choice.

Role New Business Development

  • Identify, target and secure new customers across Corporate and Industrial sectors.
  • Develop and execute territory and account growth plans aligned to their commercial objectives.
  • Generate a robust pipeline of opportunities through prospecting, networking, industry events, referrals and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Deliver and exceed agreed revenue, margin and customer acquisition targets.

Strategic Account Targeting

  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders/decision makers.
  • Create compelling value propositions that demonstrate commercial, operational and environmental benefits.
  • Maintain detailed account plans for key target organisations.
  • Understand customer operational requirements and identify opportunities for water, wastewater and efficiency solutions.
