My client, one of Scotland's largest local authorities, are urgently seeking a Health & Safety Officer / CDM Officer to join their team on a contract basis. Reporting directly to the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for a diverse Health & Safety strategy. You will assist in providing a comprehensive advisory and support service on all work programmes and CDM matters.
You will be responsible for:
- The implementation, co-ordination, monitoring and reporting on Health & Safety matters across various contracts.
- Providing clients with pre-construction information for domestic new build and refurbishment projects.
- Ensuring sub-contractors comply with current CDM regulations.
- Ensuring the appropriate management processes and controls are in place to monitor contracts by reviewing contractor H&S audits, HSE involvement or accidents on-site.
Experience required includes:
- Experience of Health & Safety on construction sites.
- Demolition and new build experience.
- Principal Designer knowledge.
This is a hybrid working position with full time and part time options available. The contract will be for a minimum period of 6 months. The role is inside IR35.
