Senior Technical Architect

Business Director – Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment (formerly Hudson). Based full-time onsite in Northamptonshire; in the office five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect new technologies that support a best‑in‑breed mentality.
• Deliver new innovations to question conventional thinking and improve the IT department’s capabilities.
• Provide visionary roadmaps on IT infrastructure for future years.
• Lead as a senior technical escalation point for a broad range of IT support topics.
• Manage stakeholders within IT and the business while delivering complex projects.
• Troubleshoot, problem solve and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Apply excellent research and analytic skills.
• Prioritise and self‑manage tasks effectively.
• Strategic planning and architectural design of key IT systems and business technologies.
• Adapt quickly to change in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Operational support at a senior technical level within a medium to large enterprise.
• Planning, organising, leading and delivering complex, fast‑moving workloads with internal and external third‑party resources.
• Experience with recognised methodologies (ITIL, Agile).
• A broad range of technical experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Design, manage and implement enterprise WAN and LAN networks and communications.
• Support junior colleagues via mentoring, training and documentation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise application architecture, middleware and infrastructure technologies.
• Financial planning and cost management for IT infrastructure and projects.
• Manage and deploy to cloud platforms.
• Database support, administration and optimisation.
• Experience with scripting, orchestration and automation.
• Capacity, performance, and availability monitoring.
• Security, vulnerability and malware threat prevention.
• Experience in racing or Formula 1/2 or equivalent business (desirable).
• Testbed and simulation platforms (desirable).

Required “Hold” Qualifications

• Degree or relevant qualifications in a technology or science subject.
• CCNP certification (essential).
