Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment is presently supporting a United Kingdom trade union which represents professionals and specialist workers in both the public and private sectors in their search for an In House Employment Lawyer.
The successful candidate will provide specialist advice and representation on employment law and provide representation in employment tribunal cases. You will report to the General Counsel and Head of Legal and will advise officers, representatives and the wider membership on complex legal issues, relating to individual and collective employment law; run employment tribunal cases; contribute to policy development and develop and deliver training.
Key Accountabilities:
- Qualified solicitor with at least 3 years’ post qualification experience.
- Specialist knowledge of employment law and an ability to manage and advise on complex case work.
- Experience of handling Employment Tribunal cases.
- Ability to analyse and evaluate legal information and disseminate accordingly.
- Experience of working proactively, self-managing time and workload.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, representatives, members, employers, and wider stakeholders.
- Have strong planning, organising, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Wants to make the world of work better for everyone through promoting membership and the values of the trade union movement.
