Role Overview:
Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment are presently representing a global leader in the field of manufacturing for the automotive sector in their search for a Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing compliance within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing compliance programs, conducting audits, and ensuring
that the company adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Key Accountabilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Identify and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations affecting the business globally, including: Anti-bribery and Corruption, Modern Slavery, ESG & Sustainability, Sanctions, Cybersecurity, AI & FOSS
- Chain Management: ensure that all aspects of the supply chain adhere to relevant legal regulations, industry standards and internal policies
- Customer Compliance Requirements: manage and respond to customer compliance enquiries and questionnaires.
- Regulatory Steering Committee Working Group: actively participate in the working group, taking ownership of the projects and tasks assigned to the Legal and Compliance Team.
- Product Compliance Support: Assist and support the Quality Team (as may be required) with product compliance requirements.
- Policy Development: Create, review and update relevant compliance policies and procedures to reflect legal and regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs for staff on compliance topics, ensuring awareness and understanding of relevant regulations.
- Monitoring and Auditing: Perform regular audits and monitoring of compliance activities, preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Investigation and Resolution: Investigate compliance violations or concerns and work with relevant departments to resolve issues.
- Regulatory Liaison: Act as the point of contact for regulatory agencies and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Reporting: Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry trends to continuously improve compliance programs.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field
- Relevant certifications s (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional – CCEP) is an advantage
- Manufacturing and/or automotive experience an advantage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction.
- Decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
