We’re partnering with a leading charity to hire an Associate Director of Reward into a high-impact, standalone role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong, hands‑on reward professional to take full ownership of the reward agenda – shaping strategy while staying close to deliver.

You’ll lead on pay, bonus, benefits and recognition, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive a compelling and competitive reward proposition that supports attraction, retention and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the end-to-end annual reward cycle (salary reviews, bonus, benchmarking).
  • Lead reward strategy across benefits and recognition, embedding frameworks across the organization.
  • Act as custodian of job grading and evaluation.
  • Produce RemCo papers, exec‑level analysis, and pay gap reporting.
  • Manage key suppliers (e.g., pensions, benchmarking, benefits) and provide expert advice to HR and leadership.
  • Balance strategic projects with operational delivery in a lean environment.

Qualifications

  • You have proven standalone or lead reward experience in a similar organization.
  • Strong technical grounding across compensation, benchmarking and job evaluation.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confident working with complex data.
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability.
  • Able to switch between strategy and detail seamlessly.
  • Resilient, agile and commercially aware.
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting at executive level.

Why This

  • True ownership of reward in a visible, strategic role.
  • Opportunity to shape and modernise a charity’s reward offering.
  • Hybrid working with London base.
  • Ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑moving environment.
