My client is one of Scotland's largest local authorities with long term capital programs in housing, education and community facilities. They have an ambitious housing regeneration project which includes new builds and re-modernisation over a 20-year period. They are seeking an Architect or Architectural Technician to join their team on a long-term contract.
Responsibilities
- Be part of a team responsible for the housing regeneration project.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary environment delivering key projects, including a £5m non-traditional house refurbishment project (overcladding timber houses, renewing roofs and adding photovoltaic panels).
- Carry out day-to-day contract administration duties.
- Manage projects and work independently with strong technical knowledge, design ability and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience within an Architectural practice or Local authority.
- Strong technical knowledge, design ability and attention to detail.
- Job running and contract administration experience.
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Ability to manage projects and work independently.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Hybrid working with attendance on site and in office when required. Contracted hours are 35 per week.
