Role Overview: Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment is presently supporting a United Kingdom trade union which represents professionals and specialist workers in both the public and private sectors in their search for an In House Employment Lawyer to join their team on a 9 month fixed term contract.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide specialist advice and representation on employment law and provide representation in employment tribunal cases.
- Advise officers, representatives and the wider membership on complex legal issues, relating to individual and collective employment law.
- Run employment tribunal cases.
- Contribute to policy development.
- Develop and deliver training.
About You:
- Qualified solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE.
- Specialist knowledge of employment law and an ability to manage and advise on complex case work.
- Experience of handling Employment Tribunal cases.
- Ability to analyse and evaluate legal information and disseminate accordingly.
- Experience of working proactively, self-managing time and workload.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, representatives, members, employers, and wider stakeholders.
- Have strong planning, organising, analytical and problem-solving skills.
