Are you an HR leader who thrives on building high-performing HR Business Partner teams, influencing senior stakeholders, driving operational excellence, and leading meaningful change in a fast-moving, service-driven environment? If so, this could be your next step. We're hiring a Head of HR to play a key leadership role within the HR function, working closely with the HR Director to shape and deliver the people strategy through a team of HR Business Partners and an HR Operations function. This is a highly visible role focused on enabling the business through strong partnership, insight, strategic HR delivery, and continuous improvement of HR services and systems.

What you'll lead:

  • A team of HR Business Partners, building capability, consistency, and commercial impact
  • The HR Operations function, ensuring the delivery of efficient, compliant, and colleague-focused HR services
  • The delivery of the people agenda through effective partnering with senior operational leaders
  • Strategic workforce planning, organisational design, and change initiatives
  • HR systems optimisation and digital transformation, driving improvements in HR technology, data quality, reporting, and user experience
  • HR system implementations and enhancements, ensuring processes and technology effectively support business objectives
  • A culture of proactive, insight-led HR that supports performance and growth
  • Strong, credible relationships with stakeholders across a complex, fast-paced environment

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience leading a multi-site HR Business Partnering and/or broader HR function
  • Experience managing or overseeing an HR Operations/Shared Services team, driving service excellence and process improvement
  • A strong track record of influencing and partnering with senior leaders in a fast-paced, service-led or contract-driven organisation
  • Experience leading HR systems implementations, upgrades, or optimisation programmes, ideally including HRIS transformation projects
  • A data-led approach, using HR systems and people insights to inform decisions and improve organisational performance
  • The ability to operate at pace, balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Commercial awareness, with the ability to translate business challenges into people solutions
  • Strong UK employment law knowledge and experience managing complex ER landscapes, including TUPE
  • A leadership style that develops others, drives accountability, and delivers results

It's an advantage if you have:

  • Experience operating in high-volume, multi-site environments with changing client or service demands
  • Exposure to organisational change, transformation, or growth phases
  • Experience implementing or optimising HR technology platforms such as Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, SAP, Dayforce, or similar
  • A track record of embedding effective HR partnering models, improving HR service delivery, and enhancing employee experience
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent)
