Job Advert: Qualified Senior Accountant Location: Walmley Birmingham Salary: £38,000 - £60,000 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time Role Purpose for an Qualified Accountant: We're looking for an Accounts Senior/Senior accountant to work with the partners with accounts preparation, tax compliance and audit work for a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses and individuals within our clients accountancy firm. You will be an ACA/ACCA qualified, with strong practice experience. Key Responsibilities of a Qualified Accountant: ·
Prepare year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies ·
Prepare corporation tax computations and CT600s ·
Prepare personal tax returns ·
Prepare and submit VAT returns ·
Assist with bookkeeping and management accounts where required ·
Support audit assignments ·
Liaise with clients and HMRC, handling routine queries and inspections ·
Maintain accurate working papers and files ·
Support and mentor junior team members as experience grows Key Skills/Attributes of a
Qualified Accountant: ·
ACA/ACCA ·Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax basics ·
Confident preparing statutory accounts from client software and prime records ·
Experience with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks ·
Good Excel skills ·
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines ·
