The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an established and highly regarded legal practice, looking to appoint an experienced Litigation / Dispute Resolution Fee Earner to join its busy and successful Litigation Department. Predominantly based from the Coventry office, with occasional travel to other locations, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation professional who is confident managing their own caseload and is looking to develop their career within a supportive and progressive firm. The successful candidate will handle a varied range of Civil Litigation matters for both private individuals and business clients. The caseload will not include Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence or Employment matters, which are managed by specialist departments.

Key Areas of Work

  • Managing matters across a broad range of litigation and dispute resolution services, including:
  • Debt recovery
  • Civil and commercial dispute resolution
  • Financial difficulties and bankruptcy matters
  • Insolvency advice
  • Personal disputes
  • Residential landlord matters
  • Residential tenant matters

You will take responsibility for an existing caseload, managing matters effectively from initial instruction through to conclusion.

Experience Required

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Fee Earner who can quickly become an integral part of the team. The ideal candidate will:

  • Ideally have over 5 years PQE or equivalent relevant experience
  • Have a strong background in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution
  • Be confident managing a varied caseload independently from start to finish
  • Have a proven ability to achieve fee-earning targets
  • Demonstrate experience of developing new business and building strong client relationships
  • Provide a professional, commercially focused and client centred service
  • Be proactive, organised and comfortable working within a busy department
  • Hold a full driving licence and have access to your own transport, due to the office location and travel requirements of the position

Work is generated through a combination of established clients, direct enquiries, recommendations and referrals, providing the successful candidate with a strong platform from which to further develop their caseload.
