Β£27,100 Location: Cambridge We are currently recruiting for a
HR Administrator
to provide a front line, professional and effective HR service for internal HR enquiries. Key Duties Operation of the Human Resource system
collecting figures, calculating and inputting new data, amending information, checking details and reporting management information. Inputting data onto the HR system and advising Payroll of new starters, leavers and contract changes, ensuring all salary changes are recorded, effectively communicated and accurate payslips are produced. Requesting, collating and inputting sickness/absence data, as required, to generate information for Payroll and management reports. Developing and improving departmental procedures and maintaining guidance notes for HR administrative procedures. Ensuring that all administration relating to recruitment is coordinated, effectively communicated, handled efficiently and completed on a timely basis, including inputting all vacancy data onto the HR System and preparing interview packs for panels. Assisting with the creation of recruitment adverts and the recruitment advertising process. Completing administrative tasks required in relation to making offers of appointment, contracts of employment and pre-employment checks, and updating the HRMS accurately. Handling confidential files, personal records and salary information, ensuring that information is only provided to the correct people upon request. Working with other members of the team, or individually, on HR projects and initiatives. Leading and taking responsibility for certain delegated projects. Undertaking and becoming trained in other administrative duties within the department to improve knowledge and skills in dealing with HR matters and to assist the team with peak workloads. To ensure that arrangements for staff development events and activities are in place as required. To coordinate the induction process for new starters, ensuring that all new staff attend an induction. To monitor and ensure key training requirements are adhered to by staff, including ensuring all staff attend refresher safeguarding training. Key Skills & Experience The successful candidate will have: Good standard of general education, including GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above. Previous experience working in a busy administrative role, ideally within HR. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional, friendly and approachable manner. Confident using Microsoft Office packages and databases. Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage a demanding workload and meet strict deadlines. Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively and take responsibility for processes from start to finish. Strong attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approach to work. Able to research information, solve problems and use initiative. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team. Able to remain calm and effective under pressure. Flexible, proactive and willing to learn, with the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks. Strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality, tact and diplomacy, particularly when handling sensitive information. A customer focused and professional approach.
