Salary: £27,500

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire

Holiday: 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)

We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant to join a well established and highly respected organisation based in Leamington Spa. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic individual to become part of a supportive team within a varied and rewarding role. Working closely with members and stakeholders across the agricultural sector, the successful candidate will provide administrative support across a range of areas including membership services, database administration, events support and online platform management. This role would suit someone with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work. An interest in agriculture, livestock or rural industries would be highly advantageous.

Key Duties:

  • Act as a main point of contact for member enquiries via telephone and email
  • Support with day-to-day administration and database management
  • Process membership applications and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with DNA sample administration and animal registration processes
  • Support administration relating to transfer documentation
  • Assist with preparation and administration during busy sales periods
  • Attend national shows and events to support promotional activities
  • Liaise with regional clubs regarding competitions and events
  • Support the coordination and administration of nationwide calf inspections
  • Assist with the production of annual publications and communications
  • Manage the daily administration of an online sales platform using Shopify
  • Process orders, applications and liaise with external vendors
  • Support social media promotions and website development activities
  • Prepare month end information and assist with stock reviews
  • Attend meetings and provide updates on online platform developments
  • Monitor and respond to shared email inboxes

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous administration experience within a busy office environment
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Confident managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Experience using databases or Shopify would be advantageous
  • An interest in agriculture or livestock industries would be beneficial
