An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing, award-winning organisation near Guildford in the role of Business Operations Manager. As the business enters its next phase of expansion, they are looking for an experienced Business Operations Lead to build and strengthen the operational infrastructure to support a growing, people-focused organisation.

This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the CEO which offers the opportunity to shape how the business operates, ensuring its systems, processes and operations are scalable, efficient and fit for future growth. The focus of the role is to take ownership of the organisation's operational backbone. You'll oversee business operations across people, technology, compliance, facilities and elements of finance, creating joined-up processes that enable better decision making and support continued growth.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building rather than simply maintaining operational functions. You'll be equally comfortable solving day-to-day operational challenges while designing longer-term improvements that allow the business to scale.

Alongside a competitive salary of up to £65k (dependent on experience) there is an excellent benefits package including generous holiday entitlement of 28 days plus Bank Holidays, pension, private medical insurance, hybrid working (3 days a week office based) and discretionary annual bonus.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop clear business health reporting across operations, finance, HR, IT and compliance
  • Act as the key contact for external IT providers, overseeing systems, cybersecurity, data protection and technology improvements
  • Work closely with the finance function on budgeting, forecasting, supplier management and finance processes
  • Manage HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, managing employee records and compliance
  • Office management including facilities, health & safety and management of supplier relationships
  • Support employee engagement through the coordination of internal events, learning initiatives and recognition activities
  • Review existing systems and processes and identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve these
  • Provide proactive advice to the leadership team, identifying operational risks and opportunities

We are looking for an experienced operations professional with a proven track record of building infrastructure within growing organisations. This company is offering an opportunity to play a pivotal role within an ambitious, values-led business, where your work will have a genuine impact on how the business grows.
