Vendor/Contract Services Manager – Contract (Hybrid – Reading) | Approx. £88,000 (£340pd)

We're looking for someone with vendor or commercial contract management experience seeking a contracting role .

Overview

Join a small but high-impact Vendor Management team responsible for overseeing suppliers delivering IT equipment and services across the business. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role involving daily interaction with procurement, legal, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an account manager for suppliers providing IT services and equipment.
• Oversee contract renewals , change requests , disputes , and purchase order management .
• Monitor SLA performance and engage with business owners when supplier delivery falls short.
• Facilitate regular supplier performance reviews , lead conflict resolution where required, and ensure contract compliance.
• Develop and maintain SMART KPIs to track vendor performance and value for money.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and internal stakeholders to ensure supplier governance aligns with contractual obligations.
• Support procurement activities (RFIs, benchmarking, selection processes) and help define support/maintenance schedules.
• Take ownership of budget tracking and reporting related to supplier services.

Required Experience

• 3+ years in Telecoms, Cable, or similar industry
• Experience managing various vendor contracts (e.g., support, outsourced services)
• Strong commercial and customer-focused mindset
• Solid understanding of procurement, governance, and service delivery processes
• Excellent communication skills across all levels

Desirable Skills

• Experience in commercial, procurement, or vendor/service management
• Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field (Business, Finance, Service Management)
