Tax Accountant Vacancy Milton Keynes, Hybrid, Leading household brand

Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid, 2 to 3 days per week onsite)

Salary: Up to Β£45,000 per annum, plus benefits including bonus, car schemes, healthcare, pension and other company specific benefits (inc study packages if required).

Role Type: Full time, Permanent

Qualifications and Experience: ATT qualified or at least CTA, ACA or ACCA part qualified

Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a finance professional with an interest and exposure in tax to join an immediately recognisable brand in Milton Keynes. This position features a hybrid working structure, with 2 to 3 days per week onsite in the office. The successful candidate will take responsibility for key tax compliance routines, returns, and reporting requirements while supporting wider accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare accurate tax computations and statutory returns for UK business operations.
  • Oversee corporate tax compliance.
  • Support year end financial audit processes and respond to external queries.
  • Assist with routine indirect tax assessments and general internal advisory work.
  • Review financial transactions to verify correct tax treatment across accounts.
  • Lead the VAT, P11D and PSA processes and returns.

Applicant Requirements

  • Sound, proven working knowledge of tax principles and procedures.
  • ATT or PQ CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification status as a minimum requirement.
  • Strong numerical capability with consistent attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills across all professional levels.
  • Ability to work independently and manage submission schedules to meet strict deadlines.
