Morgan McKinley has partnered with a leading UK wealth management firm to assist in hiring a Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus.
Managing over £1.6 billion in client assets and trusted by over 4,000 families, our client provides personable financial advice and top-tier investment management services. As they continue to expand their digital platform, they are looking for a backend-centric engineer to build and scale the systems powering their core financial services.

- Designing and maintaining reliable relational database schemas and optimizing complex SQL queries.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to modernise the technical infrastructure behind their wealth management solutions.
- Taking end-to-end ownership of features—asking questions, bringing ideas, and driving engineering best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years commercial experience building production web applications using TypeScript and React, with a clear bias toward backend development.
- Node.js Proficiency: Strong background in backend architecture, API development, and system logic.
- Solid SQL Skills: Hands-on experience working with relational databases and query optimization.
- Background in Financial Services or Wealth Management.
- Exposure to cloud & DevOps toolchains: AWS (EKS), Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
