About the Role
We are a premier global entertainment brand seeking a data-driven Paid Social Optimization Specialist to support subscription growth for our streaming platform. The Paid Social Optimization Specialist is a strategic evolution of the traditional Media Buyer. In an era where bidding and placements are increasingly automated by platform algorithms (e.g., Meta Advantage+), this role focuses on managing the inputs rather than the levers. You will guide these automated systems, ensuring that automation remains aligned with complex business objectives and high-quality data. You will be responsible for architecting the data signals, creative feedback loops, and business guardrails that allow AI-driven platforms to perform at their peak. Working standard UK hours, you will serve as the dedicated UK expert within a broader international performance team.
- Campaign Optimization: Manage and optimize automated campaign types by shifting focus from manual bid adjustments to value-based signal management. Act as the primary owner of data integrity, monitoring the health of Conversion APIs (CAPI), offline conversion uploads, and pixel firing.
- Creative Strategy & Brand Controls: Partner with creative teams to treat 'Creative as Targeting'. You will analyze which visual attributes drive algorithmic success and request specific assets to feed the AI's learning phase. Implement and monitor brand safety controls, negative placements, and frequency caps to ensure AI spend does not deviate from brand standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Utilize automated reporting to identify spend inefficiencies, intervening manually when AI models over-scale or under-perform against KPIs.
- Campaign Execution: Act hands-on with Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, and Pinterest to refine and scale campaigns.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interact with global investment teams and utilize AI assistants (e.g., Copilot, Claude) to bridge the gap between complex data and conversion strategies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in paid digital media platforms (e.g. Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager).
- Deep understanding of the modern tracking landscape, including server-side tagging, first-party data strategies, and privacy-centric measurement.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate 'machine logic' into a human-readable strategy.
- Proficiency in advanced data manipulation and 'outside-the-platform' analysis.
- Strong communication skills to act as a bridge between technical data sets and creative production teams.
- Prior experience in subscription-based services, retail, or entertainment, focusing heavily on CPA optimization.
