I’m working with a leading global financial institution that is expanding its Credit Risk Analytics Technology capability in London.
This is a senior technology role sitting at the intersection of Credit Risk, quantitative analytics and software engineering. The successful candidate will combine strong hands-on development capability with deep knowledge of Credit Risk and PFE analytics, helping shape the technology strategy and delivery of a critical risk platform.
The Role
You will act as a senior Credit Risk SME / Technology Lead, contributing to the architecture, development and rollout of Credit Risk Analytics solutions while working closely with Risk, Technology and Front Office stakeholders.
The role includes responsibility for:
- Leading the implementation of Potential Future Exposure (PFE) analytical solutions
- Defining technology strategy and architecture for Credit Risk Analytics
- Leading development and delivery across large-scale applications
- Working across feeds, data processing, pricing and reporting
- Supporting regulatory change and evolving risk requirements
- Providing technical leadership across geographically distributed engineering teams
- Working closely with business and risk stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technology solutions
- Identifying opportunities to apply AI and emerging technologies within Credit Risk Analytics
Technical Environment
The core development stack includes:
- .NET Core Web API
- SQL / SQL Server
- Python
- Microservices
- Kafka / messaging
- Spark
- Redis
- HBase / HDFS
This is where the role becomes particularly specialised.
You should have strong practical knowledge of Credit Risk pricing and PFE, including areas such as:
- Counterparty Credit Risk
- Potential Future Exposure (PFE)
- Netting
- Repos
- MBS
- Stock Borrow / Lending
Experience with S&P Global Financial Risk Analytics / fraimWRX would be particularly relevant.
Exposure to Market Risk technologies such as VaR, Stress Testing or FRTB would also be advantageous.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in senior engineers, technical leads, architects and Credit Risk technology specialists who can demonstrate both:
1. Strong engineering capability
and
2. Genuine Credit Risk / PFE domain expertise
This is not a role for someone who simply has C# experience and has worked adjacent to Risk.
You should be comfortable operating as a technical SME, engaging with senior stakeholders and taking ownership of architecture and delivery across complex Credit Risk technology.
