Senior Network Test Engineer – Layer 2/3 | SD-WAN | Automation
Are you a hands-on Senior Network Test Engineer with deep Layer 2/3 experience and a passion for driving high-performance test environments? We're looking for a technically astute individual to join a forward-thinking networking team, helping to shape and assure the next generation of secure and scalable connectivity.
Lead and support all aspects of network testing from strategy to execution, particularly across Layer 2 Metro Ethernet, Layer 3 routing and modern SD-WAN solutions (Versa/Cisco/Meraki). This includes:
- Designing and building test environments and commissioning network kit/software
- Developing and executing test strategies and plans
- Performing service testing, monitoring and troubleshooting
- Managing manual and automated test cycles
- Investigating and managing defects and bugs
- Delivering test documentation, status updates and reporting
Your Tech Toolset Should Include:
- Strong Layer 2 knowledge: LAGs, STP, tunnelling, QoS/CoS, TACACS, SNMP, ACLs
- Layer 3 protocol experience (Cisco IOS, IOS-XR)
- SD-WAN solutions: Versa, Cisco, Meraki
- Test tools: Ixia, ByteBlower, Wireshark
- Scripting and test automation: Bash, Python
- Jira (for sprints, tracking) and Confluence (documentation)
