Are you a recently qualified ACA accountant with a passion for financial reporting and controls? I am working with an established investment bank who is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their London-based UK Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a global financial institution and gain hands-on experience across a broad range of accounting functions.
About the Role:
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the general accounting functions for the bank. You’ll contribute to daily and monthly financial activities including ledger data integrity, tax (including VAT), accruals, intra-group transfer pricing, and balance sheet substantiation. You’ll also be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, efficiency, and a strong control environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ACA qualified with 1–2 years of post-qualification experience (ideally in financial services or banking)
- Solid knowledge of IFRS reporting standards, particularly IFRS 9 and IFRS 16
- Experience managing a team and driving process improvements
- Strong understanding of financial controls and reconciliation best practices
- Exposure to banking regulations and industry developments is a plus
- Highly proficient in Excel and comfortable using technology and automation tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure
