My client a is a leading mid-market private equity advisory company has an exciting new opportunity that has arisen for a Financial ccountant to join the Finance team to take responsibility for covering financial accounts of UK and French regulated entities of group, including:
• Monthly accounts: end to end preparation of monthly accounts for UK and French regulated entities
• Year-end accounts and annual audit: preparation of year-end accounts and audit schedules for UK and French regulated entities, working with external auditors
• Revenue recognition, invoicing and credit control: review of success fee calculations and production of fee schedules, issue of sales invoices, timely collection of payments from clients
• Regulatory returns: preparation of financial information for regulatory returns for UK and French entities
• Strategic projects and transformation: providing support with broader finance transformation activities and initiatives
The successful candidate will play an important and integral role in the ongoing development of the Finance function to support the continued growth of the business, reporting to the Senior Financial Controller. The role will be based in central London.
Person Specification
– Degree educated (2:1 or higher) or equivalent
– 3+ years post qualified with an accounting qualification
– 7+ years of experience in similar role within financial or professional services
– Advanced excel and modelling skills (vlookup, pivot tables)
– Highly organised and efficient self-starter, ability to multitask and prioritise own workload
– Team player with a high level of integrity, a positive “can-do” attitude, and an eagerness to learn and
help other members of the team
– Strong attention to detail
– Proactive with hands on attitude and ability to work independently
– Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
– Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
– Knowledge of accounting software (Business Central/Other)
