About the Opportunity
We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Applied AI Product Engineer to join the global engineering team of one of the world's leading technology companies.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting‑edge AI-powered products, agentic workflows and internal engineering tools, helping teams design, evaluate and launch innovative AI solutions.
You'll be joining a team focused on transforming manual processes into intelligent, automated and scalable solutions, working across the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through to development, deployment and optimisation.
This is a hands‑on engineering position, ideal for someone who enjoys building real products, solving complex technical challenges and leveraging modern AI development tools.
- Design, develop and deploy end-to-end AI-powered products, internal tools and integrations.
- Build scalable backend services, APIs, data workflows and full-stack applications.
- Develop agentic workflows and automation solutions that reduce manual processes.
- Create evaluation frameworks and feedback mechanisms for AI-powered systems.
- Work closely with engineering, product and research teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Turn prototypes into reliable, production-ready applications.
- Utilise AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex and other LLM-based technologies.
- Implement automated testing, observability, monitoring and production engineering best practices.
- Take ownership of technical projects from initial design through deployment and ongoing improvements.
- 6+ years of commercial software engineering experience, ideally within product engineering, full-stack development or applied AI.
- Proven experience designing, building and deploying production-level software applications.
- Strong experience with APIs, backend services, integrations and data workflows.
- Ability to independently own technical projects from initial requirements through to delivery.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, automated testing, debugging and system reliability.
- Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with ambiguous requirements.
Highly Desirable
- Experience building or integrating AI/ML-powered products.
- Exposure to LLMs, AI agents, agentic workflows or AI evaluation systems.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or OpenAI Codex.
- Experience developing internal developer platforms, automation tools or self-service applications.
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, including Git, code reviews and CI/CD.
- Experience transforming manual operational processes into automated, scalable solutions.
What Makes This Opportunity Different?
You’ll be working within a global engineering environment developing practical AI solutions that directly improve how internal teams operate.
The emphasis is on real-world product engineering rather than theoretical AI research.
You’ll have the opportunity to build, experiment, deploy and continuously improve solutions using modern AI development technologies.
We’re particularly interested in engineers who are already embracing AI‑assisted development and can combine strong software engineering fundamentals with an innovative, product‑focused mindset.
