I am currently partnering with a high-performance engineering organisation that designs and manufactures Electric powertrain systems for elite motorsport, hypercar projects, and next-generation EV platforms. They are looking for a sharp, hands-on engineer who wants to be on the shop floor, working directly with cutting-edge hardware, and taking real ownership of the testing and validation lifecycle.

As a Senior Development Engineer, your primary mission is to bridge the gap between design theory and real-world performance. You will own the right-hand side of the V-cycle, proving out both mechanical and electrical components to ensure they survive and thrive under extreme conditions. You will design custom test procedures, determine how to push components to their limits, and verify that the physical system perfectly matches engineering expectations.

  • Hands-On Rig & Environmental Testing: Actively set up and execute testing protocols. A major focus will be environmental testing. Partner closely with workshop and test technicians to get rigs built and instrumentation configured accurately.
  • Client-Facing Impact: Analyse the data, write up technical test reports, and stand behind your findings in high-level client meetings, helping to guide the customer through the validation journey.

Academic Background: A degree in a Mathematics, Science, or core Engineering discipline.

Industry Pedigree: 3 to 5 years of experience embedded within a fast-paced automotive, motorsport, hypercar, or EV powertrain environment. Direct experience verifying and validating both mechanical and electrical assemblies—ideally with advanced EDU powertrain systems.

The Mindset: You love being close to the hardware, possess a sharp analytical mind for data, and are flexible enough to travel occasionally for off-site testing or client consultations.
