Business Development Executive to join their expanding Sales & Marketing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building genuine, long-term relationships.

Working within a specialist and purpose-driven sector, the role will involve managing customer relationships, developing new opportunities, visiting clients, and supporting the wider team with product demonstrations and commercial activity.

This is not a hard-sales environment.

The business is looking for someone who can act as a credible and professional representative, build trust with customers, and develop relationships over the long term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Manage and develop allocated accounts across the UK
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Conduct client meetings and site visits where required
  • Follow up on enquiries, quotations and leads in a timely and structured manner
  • Work closely with the technical team to support product demonstrations
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
  • Manage and maintain an active sales pipeline
  • Ensure all customer activity and opportunities are accurately recorded within the CRM system
  • Work closely with the Marketing Executive to convert marketing-generated leads
  • Provide feedback on customer requirements, market activity and commercial opportunities
  • Support wider sales, events and business development activity as required

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within Sales, Business Development, Account Management or a similar commercial role
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Comfortable meeting customers and representing the business professionally
  • A consultative and relationship-led approach to sales
  • Ability to identify and develop new commercial opportunities
  • Organised and proactive, with strong follow-up and pipeline management skills
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with technical and internal teams
  • Strong attention to detail and CRM discipline
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits
  • Experience within assistive technology, education, healthcare or a similar sector would be advantageous, but is not essential
