A well-established and growing logistics and distribution business based in Milton Keynes is looking to appoint a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to support the finance team through a period of growth and increasing reporting requirements. This is a hands-on role offering strong exposure to management accounts, business partnering, and operational finance, ideal for someone actively studying ACCA / CIMA and looking to step up.
The Role
- Assisting with monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis)
- Accruals, prepayments, and journals
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Cost analysis across warehousing, transport, and operational spend
- Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting
- Continuous improvement of processes and reporting
The Person
- Part-qualified ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a management accounts or assistant accountant role
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with operational teams
