The Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the efficient movement of goods, materials, and information within the organization. This position is responsible for coordinating logistics operations, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring timely delivery of products and services. The Logistics Specialist works closely with internal teams, external vendors, and transportation partners to maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data analysis and hands-on experience managing both B2B and B2C logistics channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics Coordination
- Manage daily logistics activities including planning and tendering shipments to carriers while utilizing the warehouse capacity via Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
- Track shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any transportation exceptions.
- Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
- Maintain routing rules in OTM for NPIs, acceptable mode per destination, etc.
- Ensure timely receipt of carrier PODs.
- Process Optimization
- Analyze logistics workflows and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Implement best practices to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize delays.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all logistics transactions.
- Create carrier forecasts for freight shipments to indicate number of needed trucks per week/month.
- Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and transact inventory within Oracle Fusion.
- Partner with Global Inventory Operations Team to support in cycle count reconciliations or urgent inventory matters.
- Collaborate with Global Inventory Operations on rework enablement, consumable replenishment ordering.
- Execute in region rework projects with third-party logistics vendors.
- Maintain healthy inventory levels of Freight GPS Trackers by regional third-party logistics partner in partnership with Security Teams.
- Reporting
- Manage B2B and B2C On Time Delivery and On Time Shipping reporting and root cause analysis with the carriers and warehouses.
- Validate shipments not yet booked with our partners to ensure the timely transmission of shipment plans to the warehouse.
- Audit OTM milestone receipts and partner with DRI for resolution and accurate reporting.
- Supplying Warehouse Capacity Overview Reporting to cross functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or 3+ years of relevant experience in similar fields.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) or similar TMS platforms.
- Excellent organizational, creative problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
