We are working with a growing e-commerce and retail business that is undergoing a period of significant change and transformation. The business is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to provide leadership, stability, and strategic financial oversight during this transition, while a permanent Finance Director is recruited. This is a hands-on role, reporting directly to the owners of the business, and will play a key part in supporting operational decision-making, improving financial controls, and guiding the business through its next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function during a period of change and transformation
- Provide strategic financial insight and commercial support to the owners
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
- Strengthen financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworks
- Support performance analysis across e-commerce and retail channels
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including external advisors
- Ensure continuity and prepare a smooth handover to the incoming permanent Finance Director
Required Experience
- Proven experience operating at Finance Director level, ideally in an interim capacity
- Strong background in e-commerce and retail environments
- Hands-on experience with the Amazon platform/marketplace is essential
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Comfortable working in owner-led businesses
- Able to operate both strategically and operationally
