- Acting as the main champion for all green initiatives and rolling out a comprehensive Environmental Social Governance framework
- Running the show when it comes to ISO 14001 standards and taking on the role of internal auditor
- Gathering crucial data on environmental performance to share insights with the wider business and track progress against ambitious targets
- Leading the Sustainability Committee and working closely with external regulators to keep the business ahead of the curve
- Coaching staff at all levels to build a culture where safety and sustainability are second nature
Who You Are
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who can turn complex legal jargon into straightforward, practical advice for the team.
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring the following to the table: An IOSH or NEBOSH qualification Ideally certification as an ISO 14001 although this isn't essential as full training and certification can be provided, however an interest in ESG would be highly advantageous A strong grasp of current workplace safety legislation and a clear understanding of how to blend this with environmental goals Fantastic organisational skills and the ability to manage complex operational projects while keeping senior stakeholders in the loop A creative approach to solving problems and a natural knack for building trust with colleagues at all levels Membership to a relevant professional body like IOSH or IEMA is considered a brilliant bonus
