We’re currently supporting a global organisation in the search for an Assistant Financial Controller to join their finance team on a 12-month initial contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as an Assistant Controller with a strong month-end focus, leading the month-end close process across multiple legal entities.
- Managing and overseeing the month-end close and reporting process.
- Reviewing and approving journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Performing detailed balance sheet reconciliation reviews and ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Conducting SOX control reviews.
- Presenting monthly financial results and leading month-end close calls with key stakeholders.
- Preparing and delivering detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Producing quarterly update presentations for the senior leadership team.
- Supporting and maintaining a robust control environment across a large subsidiary structure, including oversight and review processes.
Experience Required:
- 5–8 years’ finance/accounting experience.
- Strong month-end and financial reporting background.
- US GAAP / IFRS / SOx knowledge.
- Big 4 and/or multinational experience desirable.
- SAP or ERP systems experience preferred.
- ACA / ACCA / CPA preferred.
