The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate management accounts, providing detailed financial analysis, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. You will work closely with finance and non-finance stakeholders to ensure that financial information is clearly communicated and aligned with the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Maintain and develop financial controls and reporting systems.
- Business partnering with operational and technical teams to provide financial insight and support.
- Assist with year-end processes and liaise with external auditors.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting.
The Person
- Part-qualified, finalist, or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with financial systems (ERP software) would be an advantage.
