This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Indirect Tax team within a Top 10 UK accountancy practice. The role is advisory-focused, offering exposure to a wide range of VAT issues and the chance to work closely with experienced senior colleagues across the firm.

You will work on varied and interesting VAT advisory projects, supporting clients with complex and evolving indirect tax matters while continuing to develop your technical and commercial skillset.

The role:

  • Deliver VAT advisory work for a broad portfolio of clients, providing practical and commercially focused advice.
  • Support on complex VAT matters, applying legislation and case law to real-world business scenarios.
  • Manage VAT engagements from scoping through to delivery, ensuring work is completed to high technical and quality standards.
  • Draft clear, well-structured written advice and reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, acting as a day-to-day point of contact on engagements.
  • Support, review and coach junior team members, contributing to their technical development.
  • Work closely with Senior Managers, Directors and Partners on larger and more complex advisory projects.

About you:

  • Solid experience in VAT / Indirect Tax, gained in practice, advisory or in-house.
  • Experience working on VAT advisory matters, with a good understanding of UK VAT legislation.
  • Comfortable managing multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
  • Experience reviewing junior team members' work and supporting their development.
  • Commercially minded with a collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues.

Locations: Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Crawley, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Milton Keynes, Reading or Sheffield.
