This is a great opportunity to join a respected Indirect Tax team within a Top 10 UK accountancy practice. The role is advisory-focused and offers the chance to build strong technical VAT experience while working closely with Managers, Senior Managers and Partners on a wide range of client matters. You'll support the delivery of VAT advisory projects across a diverse client base, gaining exposure to complex issues and developing your commercial understanding in a supportive team environment.
The role:
- Support the delivery of VAT advisory work across a varied portfolio of clients.
- Assist with the preparation of VAT advice, reports and technical analysis, applying legislation and case law.
- Work as part of wider engagement teams, contributing to projects from scoping through to delivery.
- Act as a day-to-day contact for clients on specific pieces of work, under supervision.
- Analyse data and assist with drafting clear, practical client deliverables.
- Review work prepared by junior team members and provide feedback as appropriate.
- Work closely with Managers and Senior Managers to develop your technical and advisory skills.
About you:
- Experience in VAT / Indirect Tax, gained in practice, advisory or in-house.
- Exposure to VAT advisory work and a good grounding in UK VAT legislation.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence explaining VAT issues.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn from senior colleagues.
- Interest in developing a long-term career in VAT advisory.
Locations: Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Crawley, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Milton Keynes, Reading or Sheffield.
