A newly established, advisory-led tax practice is seeking an experienced Transactions Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join its growing team. The Opportunity

You will work with corporate and private equity clients on acquisitions, disposals, refinancing projects, restructurings and cross-border transactions. Acting as a trusted adviser, you will help clients identify tax risks, structure transactions efficiently and navigate an increasingly complex international tax landscape. Beyond client work, you will have the opportunity to influence how the team operates, contribute to business development initiatives and play a key role in building a high-performing practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence engagements for corporate and private equity clients.
  • Identify, assess and quantify tax risks and opportunities within target businesses.
  • Advise on tax-efficient acquisition, disposal and investment structures.
  • Support transaction execution through SPA review, negotiation support and tax covenant analysis.
  • Provide strategic advice on reorganisations, refinancing arrangements and post-deal integration projects.
  • Advise on international tax matters affecting cross-border transactions and multinational groups.
  • Monitor developments in international tax legislation, including OECD‑led reforms and global minimum tax initiatives.
  • Work closely with legal, corporate finance and international advisory teams on complex transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders and decision‑makers.
  • Support business development activities, proposals and market‑facing initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
  • Contribute to the growth, strategy and ongoing development of the transactions tax offering.
  • Champion the use of technology and AI‑enabled solutions to enhance efficiency and client service delivery.

About You

  • CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Strong UK corporate tax technical knowledge.
  • Proven experience delivering transaction tax and tax due diligence projects.
  • Experience advising large corporate groups, multinational businesses and/or private equity clients.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical analysis with practical business outcomes.
  • Experience reviewing financial information and transaction documentation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous experience managing client relationships and developing junior team members.
  • A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to a growing business.
