Currently supporting a major global investment bank on the growth of its electronic FX trading technology team in London. The business is investing heavily into its eFX platform and is looking for a senior engineer to help scale and enhance a globally distributed automated trading environment operating across Spot FX, Swaps, Forwards, Benchmarks and eNDF products. This is a front-office role working directly alongside trading and technology teams on highly performance-sensitive systems handling significant daily flow across multiple regions and data centres.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and development of high-performance trading systems in Java and Rust
- Building low-latency automated trading functionality
- Contributing to globally distributed mesh-based architecture
- Working closely with traders and business stakeholders
- Enhancing scalability, resiliency and execution performance
- Delivering into a high-pressure, real-time trading environment
Requirements:
- Strong experience within electronic FX trading
- Deep understanding of Spot, Swaps, Forwards and eNDF workflows
- Background in high-frequency / automated trading systems
- Proven performance computing experience
- Strong Java engineering capability (Rust exposure highly advantageous)
- Experience within a bank, market maker or hedge fund environment
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving front-office setting
