This fantastic team in a renowned Top 10 firm is seeking a qualified and commercially minded Outsourcing Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional to take ownership of a portfolio of clients, leading the delivery of high-quality outsourced services while developing and mentoring a talented team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing service delivery, driving process improvements, and ensuring engagements are delivered efficiently and profitably.
- Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and delivering a consistently high-quality service.
- Lead the planning, execution and review of client deliverables, including accounting operations, management accounts and VAT returns.
- Review team processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, reporting quality and technology adoption.
- Take ownership of engagement profitability, resource planning, work-in-progress management and billing.
- Supervise, coach and develop qualified team members, providing regular feedback and supporting career progression.
- Provide technical accounting support on complex matters including consolidated reporting, acquisition accounting, journal adjustments and accounting treatments.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships, support fee discussions and contribute to proposals and business development activities.
- Lead key operational initiatives within the team, such as quality improvements, training, technology implementation or resource planning.
- Work closely with senior leadership.

Skills & Experience
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Minimum of two years' post-qualified experience gained within professional practice.
- Previous experience managing a portfolio of clients within outsourcing, finance function support, management accounting or a similar environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and ideally IFRS.
- Experience overseeing multiple client engagements, managing deadlines, quality standards and profitability.
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, resources and client profitability.
- Proven people management experience, including coaching, reviewing work and developing junior team members.
- Strong understanding of VAT, reconciliations and core accounting processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting software.
Desirable Experience
- Experience using Xero and ideally NetSuite and/or CCH.
- Experience preparing or reviewing statutory accounts under FRS102 and IFRS.
- Ability to identify technical accounting issues and provide guidance on accounting standards.
- Experience supporting clients through year-end audits and liaising with external auditors.
- Exposure to complex projects including IFRS transitions, acquisition accounting, group consolidations or FRS102 updates.
- Awareness of international accounting standards and multi-entity/group reporting structures.
